Salary Delays: What Can You Do When Your Employer Pays Late Every Month?

Joshiamit1987@yahoo.co.in
Dear Seniors, Please provide me with information on what actions can be taken if the employer is not providing a salary before the 7th of every month. There is always a delay, with payments being received after 2 months. Please advise if any necessary action is required.

If the company has up to 1,000 employees, then the salary has to be disbursed on or before the 7th of each month. If the employees exceed 1,000, then it is the 10th of each month. This is as per the Payment of Wages Act.

Regarding taking action, you can contact your labor office and file a complaint with them.
