Thank you for sharing the news. May I request you or another member to translate the same? What is the exact wording in it? Has the gazette notification been released? I am not aware of it so far.

Dear HR Fraternity,

Please do not bother about all these things.

P.F. still stands at Rs. 6500/- and ESIC stands at Rs. 15000/-.

With the Election around the Corner - any such proposal needs detailed discussions in the Cabinet. The Cabinet needs to approve such proposals, and then it is to be sent to the President for his approval - then it has to be NOTIFIED / GAZETTED.

Meanwhile, there would be lobbying from Corporates to postpone or even dump such proposals.

Let us wait to see if at all these things are AMENDED / NOTIFIED & GAZETTED. While gazetting (if it passes through various procedures) the effective date will be intimated.

Until then, let us just carry on with what is on our plate.

Thanks for the understanding.

Regards,

PS:

There was hue and cry when the Sexual Harassment Act was introduced, with so many interpretations - Articles, etc. But what happened? It has NOT YET BEEN NOTIFIED OR GAZETTED. The Central Government is yet to even frame Rules for that!

So, for any Central or State Act, let us just wait for the proper Notification --> Gazetting, where the effective date will be intimated in advance.

In India, nothing is implemented from this moment, except for "an increase in the prices of essential commodities."

Sundar sir is right. It is only a proposal.

Dear team,

I need some clarity on gratuity payment. We are working five days a week, and currently, we provide gratuity for those who have completed 4 years and 240 days. However, there is a discussion where some argue that gratuity should be provided for those who complete 4 years and 190 days. Can you help me understand if we are required to give gratuity for 4 years and 190 days as per any judgment or provision in the gratuity act?

Another issue is that some employees who have not completed even 4 years are requesting gratuity upon retirement. Are we obligated to provide gratuity to them?

Kindly share your valuable advice along with any necessary legal evidence.

Thanks and regards,
D. Chithambararaj

[QUOTE=shashi_shashigk@yahoo.com;2099636] Hi All,

Dear Shashi,

When will the ceiling of the PF limit increase from ₹6,500 to ₹15,000? Has it already started, or is it yet to begin? If so, when will it start?

Please inform me via email at [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons] or call me at [Phone Number Removed For Privacy Reasons].

I am working as an HR Executive in a Manufacturing Unit. Could you please inform me if the PF limit has been increased by the Central Government throughout India or in any specific region? I belong to Gujarat State.

Thank you.

I agree with the above comments of my colleagues. Let us wait until the Gazette Notification comes, till then let us wait and see. Also, I earnestly request the members whenever they attach local language news items, please attach translations into English as many of us cannot understand the local languages. Thanks.

Dear Chithambararaj ji,

First of all, you started the discussion of gratuity in the wrong thread of PF. The subject of gratuity for 4 years and 240 days has been well discussed earlier in this forum on a number of occasions. The said judgment is also available in many discussions. You are requested to do research on it.

Please note the following:

1. The said judgment is binding only in the jurisdiction of HC Madras.
2. There is no question of paying gratuity for 4 years and less than 240 days, as you raised the query.
3. There is no question of paying gratuity for less than 5 years of service except in the case of death.
4. For gratuity on 4 years and 190 days, you need to bring a fresh judgment.

The employees whose pay at the time of joining the establishment is over and above Rs 15,000/- are only required to join the EPF Scheme 1952 and EDLI Scheme 1976 and shall not be eligible to join the EP Scheme 1995. Please provide more details about this query.

Hi,

As per the new proposal, the PF limit can be increased to 25,000 instead of 15,000. Is this information correct?
