There are some conditions for PF deduction, and it's optional for employees to opt for the deduction of PF. Often, companies do not offer PF for contract employees. It's better to consult with your HR once.
It is mentioned that Mr. SKJ789 is working in a Local Self-Government Department on a contract basis. Whether the said Local Self-Government is covered under the EPF & Miscellaneous Provisions Act or State Government Rules are applicable? It has not been clarified. However, in my opinion, the terms and conditions of the contract will apply in such cases.
