Completing Of 7 Years And Proprietor Not Paying Gratuity?

srimanta78
Dear Sir,

I want to know if an employee resigns from his job after completing 7 years, and if the proprietor is not paying his gratuity, what legal steps can be taken to claim his gratuity.

Please help me regarding this matter.

Dear Srimanta,

You can contact the Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act at the Labour Commissioner's office by filing an application/complaint along with proof of your work in the company. They will then call upon the company and initiate proceedings to ensure you receive your due gratuity.

With best wishes,

Dear Mr. Nair,

Thank you for your prompt response. I would highly appreciate it if you could inform me about the kind of documents required to support the employee.

Thanks and regards,
Srimanta
