Am I Eligible for PF Withdrawal After 6 Months? Seeking Guidance on Forms and Process

msatishk
Hi, I worked for a company that I joined on 26-Dec-2012, and my last working day was 27-Jun-2013. I have completed 6 months; hence, am I eligible for PF? My doubt is whether for the month of June 2013, PF contribution has gone towards PF or not, as I received Full and Final settlement in July 2013, and I couldn't confirm based on the amount that I received. If yes, what forms need to be filled up and sent to the company? My previous company is located in Delhi, and I am working in Hyderabad now. I wouldn't want to visit the company just to fill the PF withdrawal formalities. Please send me the link to the forms that are supposed to be filled up and sent.

Thanks,
Satish

PF Withdrawal and Transfer Clarification

First, you cannot withdraw the PF amount when you are working for another company. You need to transfer the PF as stated by Mrugen.

Regarding the rest of your queries, it seems you are under the impression that PF starts only after 6 months. This is incorrect. You are eligible for PF from the first day. PF must have been deducted from your salary each month and will appear in your salary slip. If it does, then the entire amount will be available for you to transfer.

PF Transfer and Withdrawal Guidelines

If you have joined a new company and the new company is subject to PF, you are required by law to transfer the PF to the new company. You are not allowed to withdraw it. People withdraw from the PF account by giving a false declaration that they are no longer working for any company. I do not agree with giving such declarations. With the new move of linking PF numbers to the Aadhar card, that too will be blocked in a year's time.
