I have a very important question to ask. My company follows a deemed confirmation process. I recommended they remove deemed confirmation since most employees look for an appropriate probationary review followed by a confirmation letter. Also, the company is facing a higher level of attrition because employees know they will get confirmed even if they don't perform. To reduce attrition and confirm employees who are performing, I suggested this change. However, they are of the opinion that deemed confirmation should stay as it will increase paperwork and time consumption of the probationary review. They also believe that other companies follow the same practice.
Importance of a Confirmation Letter
So my question is, how important is it to give a confirmation letter? Why? How do I convince my management?
