Sandwich Leave [Thread 472944]

saumyasrk
our company is a new IT company. Salary Cycle is from 21st of a month -20th of next month. Working days 6 days/week. Total working hours per week are 52 hours. We don\'t have any paid/sick leave. We are having sandwich leave also.
I would like to know
1.Terms and conditions of sandwich leave.
2. Is this all rules applicable in one organisation.

hi Saumya,
Would explain u with example. If an employee applies for leave for 3 days on Friday, Saturday & Monday (as Sunday u guys have Off), then in case of Sandwich leave the total number of leaves considered will be 4. As Sunday falls in between two leaves it would be considered as Leave in Sandwich leave Policy. This may or may not be applicable on other holidays like Diwali, Gandi Jayanti etc, its managements call to deduct leaves.
Your second question is not clear! Please let me know if any other info is required, Happy To Help.
Thanks.

hi,
This is for my suggestion for reg.If an employee takes a leave for 3 days from Friday Saturday and Sunday. The total leave considered will be 1 if the employee presents on Monday.suppose if not fail i.e takes a leave on Monday also. the total total leave considered will be 4.
The above in both applied for the company which is applicable for sandwich.
And other thing ,if the holiday leaves are in between the above mentioned days, it should be depends on the organisation.
And the second one is, the sandwich leave is applicable only the company wherever have had two days off. i.e Saturday and sunday
Hope it is clear.
