How To Get The P.F. In Case Of Death

My Brother-in-law died in 2009, but his employer deny to issue a form No. 5 & 10, in this case who is the next Govt.or any authority to sign the same ?

Dear Rajesh,
If the employer of your late brother in law's deny to issue these form then you please download FORM - 20 from EPFO website, fill up this form with the membership number and submit it directly to concern Regional PF Commissioner office along with a photocopy of last year brother in law's PF slip and the death certificate.

PF is eligible for the family members in case of death.

Form-20 is for claiming of PF amount and it should be signed by the employer

the following documents are required for PF Calim

filed Form-20

Bank account of deceased legal hair

family members certificate

if he have no family members as per the Form 2A(Revised) which is submitted to employer by the member (Nomination form), he mentions family members on the form , can claim the with drawl.

along with Form 20, he/she eligible for pension also for withdrawal of pension the following documents are required

Form 10 D

Bank account of deceased legal hair

family members certificate

4 photos duly signed by the employers

3 specimen signature card

date of birth proof

minor children also eligible for pension, if the deceased have minor children can apply pension

Form 5 IF

deceased family member is also eligible for insurance linked fund,

if employer is not signed t, you can directly submit with the above documents with a cover letter about employer denial , it will help you .

You can visit to regional EPF office along with EPF No. ( Including employer code number) and meet PRO for more information for settlement of EPF claim
