Am I Eligible for a Diploma in Labour Law with My MBA Background? Seeking Clarity on Admission Requirements

I want to take admission in a Diploma in Labour Law. I have completed my MBA with a 67% score, and in the last semester, I took an exam on employment law and scored more than 50% in that exam. As per the prospectus or as mentioned below, I am eligible for this course because in MBA, only one paper exists related to labour law in every university. I am trying to contact the concerned person at Bikaner University, but nobody is sure whether I am eligible or not. They are ready to give admission to MA sociology students but are confused about MBA eligibility. Kindly let me know the exact eligibility requirements for taking admission in DLL. Apologies if I have mentioned anything incorrectly. I am waiting for your positive response.

Note: One-year Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Laws, Labour Welfare, and Personnel Management.

Eligibility Requirements:

A candidate who, after having taken any one of the following examinations of the University or of any other University recognized for the purpose by the syndicate, i.e., (i) the examination of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (P) or (ii) M.A. Examination in Sociology/Economics/Social-Works/Psychology/Public Administration with 48% marks in the aggregate and with a paper relating to labour law as part of their examination, or (iii) M.Com. examination in Economic Administration/Financial Management/Business Administration or MBA Examination with at least 48% marks in the aggregate and with a paper relating to labour law as part of M.A., M.Com, or M.B.A. Course, shall be eligible to appear in the examination for the Post Graduate Diploma Course in Labour Laws, Labour Welfare, and Personnel Management.

Notes: (i) A candidate holding the LL.B. (Academic) Degree shall not be eligible for the course.

(ii) For determining the 48% marks in the aggregate at the M.A./M.B.A. examination referred to above, the total marks obtained at both the previous and final examination or at all semester examinations, as the case may be, will be taken into account.

As per the advertisement you have posted, it clearly states that you are eligible if you have scored 48% marks in MBA. Moreover, in education, a highly educated candidate may opt for a lower qualification unless there are any age limit criteria or specific limitations clearly mentioned, which I do not see here. Therefore, you must apply for the course.

Thank you for your reply. I am trying to communicate with the university and the relevant person at the college. However, they want me to provide a written statement to the college stating that I will be held responsible if the university cancels my admission. They also mentioned that there is a possibility that they may not refund my fee as they are unwilling to provide any written confirmation regarding fee refunds.

I am eager to apply for this course and have reached out to both the university and the college principal via email, but I have not received any response. Even the senior teacher and the head of the law department at the university are uncertain about the eligibility requirements. :-(

As the qualification criteria are PG and you have completed an MBA in reference to that, you should apply for the course by attaching a print of their advertisement and highlighting the qualification criteria based on which you're applying. Additionally, please write a covering letter. I am confident that they will understand and enroll you.
