Dear All, It was during the Leadership Development Program in my organization where I felt the need to pursue a professional course in HR. One of the coaches was a gentleman who is an XLRI alumnus and heads the L&D department in our company. He holds a PhD in psychology and influenced me to a great extent.
Intent Behind Creating a New Discussion
I am a professional with close to 12 years of experience. My graduation and post-graduation have been through distance education programs since I started working in a reputed BPO after my 12th standard. After working in the BPO sector for close to 9 years, where I grew to a Manager rank, I forayed into recruitments and am currently handling PAN India hiring for a leading IT and ITES company in the BPO space. Since I like my current job and I am pretty good at it, I was wondering what else I can do from an academic perspective to add more value to my profile. The Leadership session gave me food for thought that I may be lacking the academic edge to reach a certain level in my career in the next 10-15 years. I may be wrong, but that is the whole intent of starting a discussion.
Most of the searches indicated that a regular graduation is a must for pursuing an Executive MBA in HR. I am also Six Sigma Green Belt trained and certified.
I look forward to hearing your suggestions.
Regards!
