I am an HR fresher from the 2012 batch and I am currently trying to secure my first job. In order to explore better opportunities, I am considering joining training institutes. It appears that most job vacancies require trained and experienced individuals. Could you please provide guidance on whether this would be a good decision?

As an HR fresher, joining a training institute will definitely strengthen your CV, but it does not guarantee a job. You should consider combining training with job searching. As a fresher, you may be able to secure an MTO (Management Training Officer) position.

Depending on the institute you choose, you may end up spending a significant amount of money for little return. Keep persevering and actively search for management trainee positions.

As a fresher, we make some common mistakes (even so-called experienced individuals like me make mistakes and learn). The most common mistake is not conducting a SWOT analysis of ourselves. Many times, we only look for "big companies," and those "big companies" tend to seek candidates only from elite B schools or those with experienced backgrounds.

If you have completed an MBA, I am sure your institute has trained you well and made you job-ready. What you need to focus on is enhancing your skills, which the training institute might help with, but there is no guarantee that you will secure a job just because you are trained.
