Confused About ESIC Contribution Period Changes? Need Clarity on New Limits and Coverage

Clarification Needed on ESIC Contribution Period

Please help me sort out my doubts regarding ESIC. News reports have mentioned an ESIC limit increase to Rs. 25,000. After the implementation of E-challan, we stopped sending half-yearly returns. My doubt is whether there is any change for the contribution period (April to September and October to March). Do we need to cover employees within ESIC for the whole 6 months, even if employees cross the ESIC limit in between the contribution period?

As of now, there is no notification regarding an increase in the existing limit from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. There was just a discussion with the ESI Director and committee members. Once we receive any notification, clear details will be provided. Therefore, there is no need to worry about it at the moment.
