Project Synopsis On Performance Appraisal

I am doing MBA in HR (3nd year). I need to submit a project Synopsis till 15 aug. I would like to do the project synopsis with the topic "Performance Appraisal". I would like to know to come up with the Performance Appraisal system in the organization of logistic industry How long it should be? The format for synopsis does not depend upon the topic. The format is prescribed by the instituiion. Please check with your tutor guide.

I am going to do a project in HR - in area of apprisal . I am thinking to do project "impact of performance apprisal on employee motivation" but i dont know how to understand what are dependent nd independent variable i need to consider. can some one help me in this . also how to prepare questionaire for same .
