Stuck After Notice Period: How Can Employees Handle Delayed Relieving Orders?

I'm asking this for a friend of mine who is working in a software company in Pune. His company never relieves employees on time after the notice period. It is a private company. HR never acknowledges resignation letters sent to them. After the notice period, employees are threatened to work and complete the current project they are working on if they want to get the relieving order. My friend is seriously looking for a new job since he is looking for better opportunities. He is really stressed about the whole relieving order and getting an experience letter, etc. Every single employee in that company gets relieved at least 3-4 weeks after completing the notice period. Many times this company's employees lose the new job they get since they don't join on the joining date. Employees beg the managers and higher officials for a few weeks to get relieved properly. What's the solution here?

The best solution to this is to post the complete details of the company on this forum and let everybody read this. This way, they will be cautioned not to join this company. Each member will then tell at least five of their friends about this company, and word will spread rapidly.

Alternatively, if you truly want your friend to take action by filing a case against the management and navigating through the labor court, civil court, and not focusing on his career growth, there are several consultants and advocates ready to handle cases like this. Please note that the end result of such allegations will likely be nothing, as there may be nothing concrete that you can prove on record.

Therefore, Mr. Ram, it is better to make job aspirants aware of such troublesome companies and guide them towards better options.
