Writing a Cheque for EPF: Who Should It Be Made Out To? Seeking Advice!

I want to know in whose favor the cheque has to be written in the case of EPF. We generally write it as SBI A/c. EPF. Is this the correct method? Please reply.

Hi, write 'SBI A/c EPF Organization'. But now EPF can be deposited online.

We need to submit the Challan to the SBI bank because EPF has its account there. That's why we have to prepare the bank challan in favor of EPF SBI A/c.

Dear Sudhir, I think it should be in favor of "RPFC SBI A/c [location of bank]."

It should be in favor of "SBI ON A/C OF EPF (CODE NO___________)." Adding a code number is optional. If you choose to add it, suppose the cheque leaf gets separated from the challan while handling; it can be attached to it at the time of the bank's entry.
