What is the procedure to change the department of an employee? We have stated that we can change their department as needed in their probation letter. But legally, how can it be done?

You would need to issue a letter stating that the employee's performance was satisfactory during the probation period. Therefore, your department is changed to ABC Department, and the designation will be XYZ. Attached is the new salary structure, which needs to be signed by the employee as well as the authority. After that, you can proceed to change the department.
