Any Rules For Industrial Pedestal Fans?

Chicken mesh guard is mandatory for all industrial pedestial fans to prevent finger access? is there any rule?

Dear Aqua,
All safety measures are required to be provided within the working area so that worker may not get any injury. See Factory Act and Rules under Safety & Health of workers.
Take a worker particularly freshers as child as they can touch, use, access any thing like child. Therefore all moving parts in the factory are to be kept covered or unreachable to the workers.

As suggested by Mr. Gupta, providing safe guards to the rotating parts of the machine is the mandatory requirement of the State Factories Rules.
Apart from this there is an IS code existing "IS 9474 - Machine Guarding" which in detail tells about how the guarding should be done.
In general guards should be made in such a way that "even the fingers of human not come in contact with the point of operation"

Any one having copy of "IS 9474 - Machine Guarding"
