Why Is My Relieving Letter Delayed Even After Clearing My Dues and Handover?

srikanthsri09
I worked for an FMCG for more than two years and resigned due to family problems in March. I took a loan from the company, which I repaid somewhat late in July. However, I have not yet received a relieving and experience letter. They replied to me, saying it takes some time. I also received a bonus letter and was asked to fill it in and send it to the company, which I did 20 days ago. But, until now, they have not relieved me. I even handed over my territory to a new candidate before I left. What might be the reason for the delayed issuance of the relieving letter?

Delay in Issuing Relieving Letter

I suggest you visit them again personally and discuss this matter. There may be something you need to know. Generally, F&F takes 1-2 weeks, but the relieving letter can be issued to you promptly. Therefore, you should meet with the HR manager to understand the reasons. The community cannot provide you with the exact reasons or what might be pending, but it's possible reasons. I believe the best course of action would be to make a direct inquiry about it. Visit them and get it sorted out at the earliest. Best of luck!
