Dear All, can anyone share statutory guidelines, SOP, or procedures regarding sandblasting operations in industries?

Sandblasting is not encouraged; it is banned in many countries.

Sandblasting provisions will be available in your state factories' rules under hazardous processes or under Section 87 of the Factories Act.

Prohibition of Sand Blasting

As per the Punjab Factories Rules 1952, Schedule VIII, sand blasting is prohibited. "Prohibition of sand blasting - Sand or any other substance containing free silica shall not be introduced as an abrasive into any blasting apparatus and shall not be used for blasting."
