The employee joined on 30.06.2008 and was relieved from service on 07.05.2013. Could you please clarify whether the employee is eligible for gratuity as per the Gratuity Act? This matter requires urgent attention. Your prompt response is highly appreciated.

The employee is eligible for gratuity. He has completed 4 years and 240 days in the last year. This will be treated as one year. Hence, he is eligible for gratuity.
