Confused About My EPF Account Transfer: Should I Visit the EPFO Office for Help?

Hello Seniors, I am currently facing an issue with my EPF Account and need your assistance. The details are mentioned below.

EPF Account Issue

I joined the current organization in Sep 2011. When I joined here, I was informed that my EPF account number is MH/BAN/XXXXXXX/99. Using this information, I requested an EPF transfer from my old organization.

In Oct 2012, I was informed that my EPF account number is MH/BAN/XXXXXXX/98.

When I checked online on the EPF website, it shows that my old account has been transferred. I am not sure if the money has been transferred to the right account or not. I have been following up with my company's HR and a PF consultant attached to my company, but there is no solution so far.

I was last informed that the money has gone into the right account, but the PF office has not updated the online system.

I have tried checking the balance online, but there is no response from the PF Office. I have tried to download the passbook for the EPF account, but it gives an error as "Please check whether you have entered the correct account number. If yes, then details of the entered account number are not available at the portal as it is not uploaded by the concerned EPFO Office. You may contact the concerned PF Office that maintains your account."

Kindly advise on what should be done. Should I visit the EPFO Office?

I look forward to your response.

Regards, Rohan

Please check this on the EPF members' portal. The total amount may be reflected there.

The link for the same is Member Portal.

Please visit your region's PF office with your PF numbers, photo identity, PAN card, etc., and share your query. They will definitely provide you with an answer.

You can visit the present company PF office and ask them to provide proof of the transfer of the earlier PF account to the current PF account. Please take an acknowledgment copy of Form 13, which you had submitted for transferring the PF amount. Simply request a copy of the Form K annexure; it will be a valid one.
