If the EPF contribution is deposited on or before the due date through a cheque but is encashed after the due date, will it be treated as a default in payment?

They have nothing to do with the cheque cleared date; they only consider the date on which you deposited your cheque at any branch of SBI where this facility is available.

PF authorities should not consider your cheque clearance date; they only take into account the challan clearance date and the amount transferred to the EPF account.
