Importance of Aadhar Card for Government Schemes

There is a need for a unique Aadhar card to avail benefits of various government schemes. A large number of people in India have not received the Aadhar card yet. There are many reasons for this, such as postal delays. Aadhar cards can now be downloaded from the official website, and the Government of India recognizes these e-Aadhar cards as valid identity proofs. E-Aadhar cards can be used for many purposes, including applying for LPG connections from companies like HP, Indian, and Bharat Gas. The original e-Aadhar card can be downloaded in PDF format and printed in a smart card format for convenient carrying.

Steps to Download an e-Aadhar Card

To download an e-Aadhar card, visit the e-Aadhar portal. You will be asked to enter the enrollment number, date, and time, which are available on the slip given during the photo session. Other details required include the resident's name, PIN code, and captcha. Once all details are correctly filled, click on submit.

After submitting the details, a page will appear where you need to enter the mobile number provided during enrollment. An SMS containing the password will be sent to the mobile phone. This password is valid for one-time use. Enter the password to download the e-Aadhar in PDF format.
