Is Maternity Leave Now 180 Days? Seeking Clarity for Pvt. Ltd. Companies

Can you please confirm if the maternity leave period has been increased to 6 months or 180 days? If yes, is it applicable for Pvt. Ltd. companies as well? Kindly provide a copy of the Gazette on the same subject.

As per my knowledge, this is still under discussion as to whether maternity leave can be provided for 6 months or not. Some PSUs have started following this, but to date, it is not mandatory for any organization, both in the public and private sectors.
