In the pharma sector, do managers come under labor law? Can they fight in labor court in India for salary withheld by the office?

The mere designation of a manager does not automatically confer any supervisory or managerial responsibility on the person. This must be investigated through the actual roles and responsibilities to determine where the person falls within the purview of the Workman under the ID Act.

There is one line in the annexure in the appointment letter:

10. Liaison with the head office regarding the recruitment of field staff.
11. Responsible for monitoring the field staff for their achievement of sales targets and better productivity by objectively appraising their performance.

Is the above part of an employee's supervisory role? Hence, can it be said that the employee cannot file a case in the labor court? Please guide.
