We are a website designing company. Recently, we have offered a job to a candidate for Senior SEO Expert (Search Engine Optimizer). After mutual decision, we have given him a joining date. However, on the day of joining, he informed us that he won't be able to join because his mother was unwell and requested us to change the joining date. We considered his request and gave him a new joining date, but he did not show up on that day either.
When our HR Department tried to contact him, initially, he said he would be late for half an hour due to the same reason. Later, he mentioned that he would be joining at 1:30 on the same day, but he failed to show up. After a few days, he called us again apologizing for his behavior and expressing his desire to join our company. However, we informed him that we cannot hire a candidate who does not keep his commitments. In response, he threatened to do something to our company's website that we would never be able to overcome.
I am now seeking advice from our senior management. Can we blacklist a candidate's CV? If yes, how can we do that?
