New to HR? Seeking Course Advice to Boost Job Prospects as a Fresher

Hi seniors, I am a fresher to this forum, and I have completed my MBA with a specialization in HR. I am looking for a course related to the HR field, even though I do not have any experience in HR jobs. Please suggest a course for me. I am considering PeopleSoft Oracle. Would that be suitable for me? If I pursue that course, will it help me secure a job, even when applying as a fresher?

Please help me with this.

Hi Akshitha, with reference to your query, I would advise you to try to get a job in the HR field rather than pursuing any additional courses. Since you are a fresher, you have many opportunities; the key is to focus on them. Many organizations are in need of fresh MBAs, so I suggest you go for that. Once you secure an entry into any organization, it will take time to learn the ropes, but you will soon gain experience in your field. In this competitive market, all sectors provide training to their new hires, so being a fresher should not be an issue. Keep searching for a job. If you are considering pursuing another course, you can also go ahead with that.

Thank you for your suggestion. Presently, I am searching for jobs only. One thing I just wanted to ask you: in the market, there are many core HR training centers. My question is, are they really helpful to freshers? They usually charge a fee and promise 100% placement. Is that a good option?

Seeking Advice on Industrial Labour Law Courses

This is Ravi from Chennai. I completed my MBA in June 2012, and now I am working as an HR Executive at an IT company in Chennai. I am interested in pursuing a law course related to Industrial Labour Laws through correspondence. Could you please suggest which universities offer such courses?
