Maternity and Unpaid Leave: Should LTA Be Calculated for 10 or 12 Months?

If an employee is on maternity leave for 90 days, after that, she will take 2 months of unpaid leave. Should I pay her LTA for 12 months or for 10 months? Sir, please guide.

Why is LTA - Leave Travel Allowance and Maternity Leave Combined?

LTA is generally calculated on a pro-rata basis. Therefore, if the leave is without pay, it must be deducted. The Maternity Act specifies 6 weeks of leave plus 30 days as special leave. Anything beyond that is considered Leave Without Pay (LWP), so calculate LTA on a pro-rata basis.
