Feeling Stuck: Why Aren't My New Clients Responding to Our Tie-Up Proposal?

newrecruiter
Hi everyone, I had successful meetings with two of my new clients for a tie-up, and as per their procedure, I've sent them our profile and terms as well. It was two weeks ago, but until now, they haven't responded to my email. I've tried to follow up on the issue by calling them or sending a follow-up email, but most of the time, they say they are busy or out of the station for meetings and other engagements. Since I am new to the consultancy business, I would like to understand one thing from you experienced people: is it because they don't want to work with me, do they currently not have any requirements, or are they simply busy with other work? Please help me out of this confusing situation.

Thank you.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. However, I would like to inform you that I had the meeting in their office itself, and those clients are from one of my very reliable sources. They introduced me to the company's owner and manager, and through them, I met the HR of that company and had the meeting. In that case, should I be thinking that they are ignoring me to get a better option? Please tell me if you have ever experienced a similar situation.

Thank you.

This is how business is done these days: people do not respond if they are not interested. No one wants to say no; they want to keep their options open. Do not waste your time on this company; look for others. This is the most trying time for any business.

I faced the same problem when I had a training and recruitment company in Bangalore. I had contacted many companies, but I did not receive a response from most of them. Only MNCs responded, either positively or negatively. There is not much you can do if a prospective client does not respond to you. You have to keep trying to contact them. It may also backfire, as they may think that theirs is the only company in your client list.

Play it cool. If they call you, do not go to them on the date they ask you; tell them that you are tied up with other business and that you can meet them on another date. Give another date, even if it is the next day. Business is a matter of playing smart.
