Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal Act, 2013

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act was enacted in 2013 to address issues related to sexual harassment of women in the workplace. This legislation aims to prevent and prohibit sexual harassment at work and provides a mechanism for redressal in case such incidents occur. Employers are required to create a safe working environment for women and establish an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to address complaints of sexual harassment. The Act mandates awareness programs and sensitization training to educate employees about their rights and the procedures for filing complaints. It is essential for organizations to comply with the provisions of this Act to ensure the well-being and safety of women in the workplace.

Can someone tell me if we are required to pay any monthly fees or salary to the committee member from a third-party NGO? In the act, it is mentioned that we can pay fees for costs incurred for holding any proceedings by that member, which is fair. However, if organizations provide a monthly salary, her decisions could be biased.
