Stuck Without January 2013 Salary: Can I Take Legal Action Against My Former Employer?

I worked for Everonn Malad Mumbai for around 1.5 years. I left the organization with a 1-month notice period, but my salary for January 2013 has not been paid. I have tried calling them multiple times, but they keep making excuses that the office is closed. However, they still have multiple offices in Mumbai. The owner does not pick up calls or reply to messages. Is there any legal action that can be taken against them?

Alka, have you tried meeting them in person? If not, please do so. The legal way is the last thing you may want to do. Have you written a professional email to them using the email addresses below? If not, you could do that. Check LinkedIn for some senior professionals in that company, and you should get someone's details to talk to.

Please file a complaint with the Labor Officer if the company does not clear the payment on time. They are liable for punishment, so it is crucial to contact the officer immediately for necessary action.
