Understanding PT Slab Changes: How Often Do They Update and How Should We Charge?

I'm working in an IT company in the capital city of Kerala. I need to know, do PT slab changes regularly? What is the duration of validity of these slabs? Do we need to charge PT on a monthly basis from employees, or can it be done in a lump sum?

No, generally the PT slabs remain the same, as they are based on the salary paid to employees. Therefore, if there is an increase in the salary, it might happen that the PT may increase. The changes in the PT slab depend upon the State Budget. So, if there are any changes in the said state, it will be adjusted accordingly. PT needs to be deducted on a monthly basis.
