Is a BBA from ICFAI Through Flexible Learning a Good Step for Future MBA Aspirations?

Hi, I am planning to start my BBA from ICFAI through flexible learning (correspondence) and I want to know if it will limit my future options. In the sense, if I want to pursue my MBA from IIMs at a later date, will that be possible? Is the ICFAI degree recognized like any other degree, or do I have to stick to ICFAI for further studies?

Hi,

You are free to pursue an MBA or any other higher studies from any college, provided they permit UG through distance education. The degree will be like a normal degree provided by any other university, and the degree will also not mention the mode of education, i.e., distance education. Usually, no college asks for a UG through the regular medium, so I don't think it will be a problem for you. However, some colleges may ask for a regular UG.

Hi there,

I am pursuing my BCom from a regular college and BBA 2nd year (correspondence) from ICFAI. Now, my problem here is the electives. I am unaware of what to select as an elective for the BBA course. Can I know what each elective subject will be emphasizing on? Can anyone help me out with this?

Regards,

Dear,

It's of no use. As long as you are in India, you have to pursue courses recognized by AICTE and UGC only. This gives you a long-term advantage for pursuing courses in the future and becoming a part of teaching in the future.
