Exploring the Benefits and Engagement of CiteHR Community for Professional Development

I like CiteHR. Do you like CiteHR? Come on, tell me, please.

Please let us know why you like CiteHR. I am sure others will say why they do.

Well, I like it because it's free. It allows people to put forward their issues without any personal or company specifics. We don't spam, and we don't care if you use your real email address. We are not building profiles - our registration form is the shortest found anywhere. Spam is more or less in check even with such loose measures. We have volunteers who are awesome. We are the only community that doesn't have offline chapters or any events, but this community serves over 3 million people in a month.

CiteHR is an excellent platform for sharing knowledge, thoughts, and beliefs. I saw people here clearing their doubts, gaining knowledge, and solving their personal problems along with professional matters.

Good luck, CiteHR

I like CiteHR because it's a pool of knowledge where we can share problems and knowledge, helping each other. It's a community where people don't think of their own profit; instead, every member here gives their best to help others. It's like a family. The first thing I do when I come to the office is checking CiteHR. I can't go a single day without CiteHR.

Dear All the Readers,

It is truly a very useful and knowledge-sharing platform for all HR professionals.

I like CiteHR because I solve my problems with many experienced brains. We get information by sharing knowledge, thoughts, and beliefs. A single man cannot pull a car in mud, but two persons, after helping each other, can pull their cars.

Thank you, CiteHR.

I like Cite HR because we not only clarify our doubts but also come across cases or terminology from other's conversations that we have never heard.

I like CITEHR a lot because it is a very informative site where knowledge is shared freely. It is instrumental in my second career as an Independent Placement Consultant (previously I was in the IT delivery side). All the information that I needed to run my start-up, I found it here. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF CITEHR!!

I like the site HR because:

1. You have a complete forum to discuss any topic.
2. It is an encyclopedia of knowledge, HR solutions, and legal matters.
3. The forum has all types of members - freshers, students, experienced professionals, and teaching faculty.
4. Everyone is ready to extend help in the form of solutions.

And don't forget that CiteHR has a vast repository of information based on previously asked questions and members' responses to those questions. Please remember always to use the "Find Information" box at the top of every page FIRST. The answers to most of your questions are already here on CiteHR.

I love CiteHR because it gives me the opportunity to learn from other people's experiences, problems, and wisdom. Some of the contributors are outstanding. They respond to queries not only based on opinions but by clearly stating the applicable laws and best practices.

Why I Like CiteHR?

Well, the question is really interesting and important for all of us, and for this, I would like to say thanks to Miniemmanuel.

However, there is another question that I want to ask you all and seek your valuable answers and suggestions. But before going further, I would like to answer the question asked by Miniemmanuel.

I won't say that I like CiteHR, but actually, "I Love CiteHR" because this place has given me a great amount of knowledge, great learning, a number of friends and professional contacts, and I feel at home here at CiteHR.

I agree with all the members/seniors said above. CiteHR is not just a knowledge base or a place to seek answers to queries/questions, but a community, a family where we can share ourselves, discuss all our daily routine issues at work, get practical and applied knowledge from seniors/experts, legal help that benefits us in our professional life in many ways at every stage without seeking any benefit, and doing so with just a purpose of "being social with our profession."

There is an abundance of study material not just for students but for everyone to extend/enhance knowledge, career guidance, help/sharing job openings, and many other professional and personal issues/discussions. There is almost everything available that one requires to learn and achieve his/her professional goals/targets. However, there are many things that I seriously don't like, such as the way people these days are treating our CiteHR:

- Duplicate/Repeated posting
- Cut-Copy-Paste jobs
- No-care approach (Posting without following guidelines)
- Not using search options/provided suggestions

Now the question I want to ask you all is, "What don't you like and what developments do you want at CiteHR?"

I believe criticism is as important as appreciation as it gives us the facts and allows us to grow and develop more with the best feedback. It is important to speak about not only the positive but also the negative side of it.

Every single member of Cite.Co is a family and contributes to something that we all know is valuable to all of us and our future members.

Best of luck to all.

CITEHR is a pool of professionals who advise on the most practicable approach to solving your day-to-day issues. It is more interesting to know what is happening in and around us, especially in the HR domain. The site is very informative, and people take time out from their busy schedules to tweet their thoughts on the issues raised.

I love CiteHR because it is a "KNOWLEDGE TEMPLE" for me, and we have to dig tons of "KNOWLEDGE" from the platform.

Yeah, this is a good forum to learn and help others learn. A lot of real-time cases are discussed, which enhances the learning process. We get many excellent suggestions for problems and how they can be resolved. I really like this forum, which is why I am here every day.

Let us make it better by exchanging knowledge. Sharing problems and finding solutions is a great way to learn. However, we can also start by sharing good experiences of how HR made a difference in the work environment. Very few companies realize the importance of HR and the role it can play in the growth of an organization.

I suggest we start a thread on Talent Acquisition and how best this can be achieved. All the best to all those who visit this forum to share their knowledge and to those who come to learn.

I welcome criticism as a matter of fact, I beg for it when members write to me directly. I ask them what they like and what they find missing. I ask them about things they might be finding somewhere else on other sites.

Unfortunately, the space of professional networks is a space of loose personal ties which makes it difficult to create engaging content. For this, very early, it was clear to us that politeness and inclusiveness were extremely important. This means being a bit liberal with the rules, repeating the use case of the network to all new users (our welcome email, posting form all suggest search before posting). But things do get repeated, and we are trying to surface the best stuff on the home pages, and it'll improve with the addition of our newsroom layer.

Sid

To all,

I have been subscribed to CITEHR for a few years now. It's the "WALMART" of professional information sharing from people of diverse backgrounds and experiences. I have come across several accomplished and modest human beings as part of the community.

I am inspired by this verse which virtually sums up my feelings:

Living is Giving

(excerpted from Denis Waitley's "The Seeds of Greatness Treasury" book)

by Denis Waitley

Living is giving your best self away,
Living is helping someone every day;
Living is giving more than you get,
It's treating an animal like a person, instead of a pet.
It's helping the handicapped across the street,
It's smiling at the new person at work that you meet;
It's respect for all nations, colors, and creeds,
It's sharing and caring for your neighbor's needs.
One of God's greatest laws you can live and believe,
Is the more that you give, the more you'll receive!

I enjoy being a part of this wonderful community. I'll do my bit to keep the clock ticking.

Warm regards,

TSK. Raman

Hello All,

While agreeing with what fellow members have said about Cite HR, I wish to sum up by saying that Cite HR is a great value addition to students, professionals, consultants, and academia. It would be nice if Cite HR could organize webinars on HR-related topics conducted by experts. I am sure there would be many members with proven expertise who would like to conduct such webinars. Best wishes for continual success, progress, and growth.

Thank you, TSK Raman, for including the poem "Living is giving" with proper citation. Dear Anil, thank you too for your explanation. However, I think it would be better to open a new thread for "What we do not like with CiteHR?" or better still "How to Improve CiteHR?"

I have read with interest the views so far. I am not an HR person and stumbled upon it about 5 years ago and posted a message about dress code for a query regarding a girl coming to work with a "revealing" dress. As I have been based in the UK for over 40 years, my sense of humour was not appreciated, and I received very critical comments and a warning from the Administrator. I aired my concerns about "Cut/copy and Paste" messages posted by members and the effect it has on the site, as well as about infringing copyrights and encouraging plagiarism. Sid invited me to become a Moderator and requested me to tone down my criticism of such posts and inform members the right way.

Sorry for the long background to my involvement with CiteHR. Like others have already mentioned, what I like about CiteHR is the opportunity I got to exchange views and learn about how the HR function is practiced; my background is in Operations and teaching Operations and Strategic Management and related subjects. As a retired person, it gives me an opportunity to share the little experience I have gained and interact with like-minded people. I have personally met only Dinesh Divekar. However, I feel as though I have met most of the senior members. It's a vehicle for me to pass the time and help others. For example, through CiteHR, I am guiding a PhD student and have proofread a number of MBA students' projects.

Cite HR is not only providing subject matters related to HR but also on all other fields. Like an OS, anyone can share their knowledge, by which all others who are interested benefit. I gained a lot of PPTs on motivational and inspirational quotes. Fantastic presentations are available.

Hello to everybody on cite HR, This is my first post, and I am happy to reply to this post. I am really glad that I found out this site. It is an ocean of knowledge; rather, I would say an updated ocean! I read the issues posted and the solutions provided by the contributing members. It helps me increase my knowledge. It is great to see that in today's world, there are selfless people who are ready to help other people with whom they are not related in any way, and quickly too! On top of that, there are people who have been sharing and are always ready to share their hard work like knowledgeable PPTs, spreadsheets, and so on. No spam, no abusive language, no advertisements on the site, just helping each other... this site really deserves something great! HATS OFF and thanks to all the contributing members who have been providing their practical and valuable suggestions. Special thanks to the site developers/creators. I like citehr because:

1. We don't have an HR person in our organization.
2. I am an Accountant handling such matters.
3. I read all issues and solutions by experts to enhance my knowledge and adopt some practices to keep my staff satisfied.
4. It is a platform to get HR training to some extent.

Dear All,

I like Site HR because whenever I am confused about any issue, Site HR is always there to support us.

Thank you again for the expert advice and support provided by Site HR.

I also like this site very much. After reaching the office, my first duty is to look for any new articles on the site. Since all the information is interesting, I spend a minimum of 2 hours daily reading each published article. As an HR professional, this site is very helpful in our day-to-day life.

I have been using CiteHR since I started my career. It is a platform that provides everyone with the opportunity to explore HR-related knowledge and share experiences. When we encounter problems and seek advice, we typically turn to seniors or parents at home or in offices. However, nowadays, all solutions related to any HR topic are available here on CiteHR. CiteHR updates us with daily news and laws. The best part is the shared experiences of seniors, which we may not find in books.

Hi everyone,

It is a delight to be an active member of Cite HR. You have the chance to interact with the highly experienced on one side and those whose careers are budding on the other. There are plenty at the peer level for anyone in the in-between group. May the good work of Cite HR continue.
