Employee Compensation Bonus

debraj.majumder
I had put up my resignation in dec'12 after serving for 7 years & after serving full notice period of 3 months got released in March'13 end. Organization declard bonus for the year 2012-13 in April 13 @ 140% of the annual compensation set for each individual.
I had filled up the bonus claim sheet before I left teh organization with the detiled achievements. Boss approval also received.
I was only paid the amount declared in my annual compensation letter.
Two of my coleages resigned on Jan 13 & got relesed on april '13 end after serving 3 months notice period. Since the payout happens in this organization on 25th of every month, both got 140% bonus & then release on 30th April.
Is it acceptable or should I dicuss this with the higher management.

For Ref: Bonus Act:
1. Section 8 relates to the eligibility for bonus. The only requirement of that section is that the employee should have worked in an establishment for not less than thirty working days in an accounting year.
2. (1) If in any year the employer has paid any amount to an employee as customary bonus, then he can deduct such amount from payable to the employee for that year. (2) If an employee is found guilty of misconduct causing financial loss to the employer, then the employer can deduct the amount of loss from the amount of bonus payable to the employee for the year in which he was found guilty of misconduct. {Subsection 17 & 18}
