HR Professionals: Can You Help a Student with a Quick Interview for an Assignment?

Stephanie Fink
Hello, everyone! I am a student currently studying human resources. I need to conduct an interview of someone in the profession for an assignment, and I was hoping one of you could help me! It is a list of about 10 questions, and it doesn't have to be anything spectacular. If interested in helping me, please reply! I'd appreciate it greatly!

Thanks! :D

Oh dear, I think I didn't specify very well. I already have the questions, and I need the answers from someone in the field! Here are the questions:

1. How long have you been in human resources?
2. How did you become interested in this career?
3. What is your educational background?
4. Was your education adequate, or were there areas in which you needed additional training?
5. What do you like most about your work?
6. What would you change about your job if you had the opportunity?
7. What skills do you wish you already possessed when you started this job?
8. What other jobs have you worked at in this career field?
9. What tasks does a typical workday consist of for you?
10. What advice would you give someone starting out in this field?
11. Is there any other information that you believe would be helpful for me to know?

Oops, it is 11 questions! If you could briefly respond to these, I would appreciate it so much! Thank you a lot! 😀

Dear Stephanie,

I have seen the questions put forward by you. If you are a student, then change your perception of particular questions. An interview is not an easy process.

Questions to be asked to an interviewee by an interviewer are required to be very specific and focused on the company's requirements. Family background, education, experience, specialized skilled areas are peripheral to the main interview.

The interviewer must have a clear vision for the post for which the candidate has been called.

An interview in today's scenario is again a team exercise. Questions must be in coordination with the panel members. Understanding between the members must be there to keep the continuity uninterrupted.

Every member must be clear of their questions, and we need to maintain a steady pace for testing skills, knowledge, behavioral aspects, and the team playership of the candidate.

There can only be very few questions which are termed as general. The rest of the questions are based on individual to individual. Every time as an HR member, you have to create and communicate a situation with the help of other team members to the candidate and then judge the candidate based on their reply to the parameters set forth by the company.

It is an exercise that is very crucial and needs to be finished within a short time. Asking specific questions will never help you; for specific questions, specific answers are also available, but as an HR team member, you need to be well aware of the company process, business, and job description.

Based on the above, I hope it will be easy for you to find out the questions and answers for the same. Please let me know for any other help.

Hi All:

To me, it seems as if this questionnaire is a "survey" rather than an "interview".
