Attendance Dilemma: Should Saturday Leave Count as Half or Full Day?

We have 6 days of working—Saturday being a half day. At the time of attendance calculation, if an employee is on leave on Saturday, should it be considered as half-day leave or full-day leave since Saturday is a half-day working?

Can you please help me regarding this?

Do you have any predefined policy? If not, discuss with the management and proceed accordingly.

Many companies treat it such that if an employee takes leave on Saturday, it will be considered a full day leave. However, in some organizations, as part of employee benefits, it is treated as half-day leave only.
