Struggling with Salary Breakup for Team Members Earning Under Rs. 10,000 – Any Suggestions?

Hi Friends, I am facing a problem in calculating the salary breakup of team members whose salary is less than Rs. 10,000. Please help me by providing suggestions.

The CTC breakup of Rs. 10,000/- per month is as follows:

Component Breakdown

Basic | 4000
HRA | 2000
Conveyance | 800
Medical | 1250
Special Allowance | 1038

Deductions and Net Salary

Gross | 9088
--- | ---
PF | 480
ESI | 432

CTC | 10000

You may remove conveyance and medical from the structure to fit in Basic.

Set your salary structure according to local minimum wages. Based on that, you can include the following components for employees: Attendance Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, Special Allowance, etc.

Hi Saurav, I have been looking for this information regarding split-ups. Could you please tell me if it will comply with Tamil Nadu norms? Also, can you explain if there are specific percentage calculations for Basic Pay, HRA, and DA related to any Acts?

Hi Heena, you can take the minimum wage amount according to your current industry. It varies from industry to industry.
