How Do I Calculate Shares for Converting My Partnership into a Private Limited Company?

Ben jamir
Dear seniors, I am thankful in advance for your input and help. I started a partnership firm with a friend of mine who also invested in seed capital. After a year, seeing the potential of the markets and the demand for our goods, I now want to convert it into a private limited company by selling shares to friends and close family.

Calculating Shares for a Private Limited Company

I have gone through many websites and articles about sharing shares/equity but am still not sure about it. How can I calculate the shares of my company? Or how many shares can we give to shareholders?

Please help.

Sincerely,
Ben
