Is It Necessary to Update PF Nominee from Father to Spouse After Marriage? Seeking Advice

Hi, I recently joined an organization for a personal files audit. I have a question regarding PF Nomination and Declaration. At the time of joining, the employee was unmarried and had mentioned his father as a nominee. Now that he is married, is there a rule to change his nominee or not? Can anyone provide assistance?

As per my knowledge, you have to fill in all the details required in PF Form 2 and submit the same to the PF office. Nowadays, most of the processes are online. I have completed this process for one of our employees, so it may take some time to update in the system.
