Seeking Information on PF Account via RTI

I am seeking information regarding my PF account. I wish to pursue the RTI route as my personal visits, phone calls, and attempts to obtain information through the website have not been successful. Please provide details on the exact procedure, any specific form (I have been informed that there is no form for RTI), the payment methods available, and instructions on whom the cheque or DD should be made out to.

A postal order of Rs 10 would be ideal. The postal order should be addressed to the Accounts Officer, EPFO. The query should be specific and focused on a single subject, preferably. There are various formats available. Even a handwritten RTI query receives a response. Generally, a response is received within 15-20 days if the query is written correctly.

Let me inquire, what is the real issue at hand? Typically, meeting with the Commissioner gets things done.

Will RTI provide the answer you seek if you have other queries? Perhaps you are seeking a different type of information. It can be sent on plain paper in a simple way, giving details of self along with the required information in a clear manner. Alternatively, you may download the application from the website of EPFO or any other government website. Fill it out and send it to the CPIO of the concerned PF office along with an IPO/draft of Rs.
