Choosing Between HR Policies and Practices for My Internship Project – What Would Benefit an IT Company Most?

Hi All, I am studying for a Diploma in Strategic Human Resource Management and need to prepare a Summer Internship Project. I recently joined an IT company, but there are two trainees who have joined for project work. They have selected two topics: HR Policies and HR Practices. Now, I need to decide on which topic I can prepare a project that would be helpful for the company. Thank you.

First and foremost, you must select a subject in which you are proficient and capable of preparing a good project report. Both of these topics cover a lot of ground and will require a significant amount of research on your part.

HR Policies vs. HR Practices

HR policies will be a down-to-earth project, whereas HR practices will be more like a research project since you may not have access to how HR is practiced in other companies. If I may, I would suggest HR policies. You can find a lot of material on this site as well as on Google.
