New to HR in IT? Seeking Guidance on Roles and Responsibilities in My New Job

Purvi Sandeep Patel
Hi All, I am new to the HR field and have 1 year of experience in recruitment. I have recently secured a position in the HR department of an IT company that specializes in software development. Could anyone assist me in understanding the roles and responsibilities within my company?

Thank you.

As you are an employee of a software development company, your company has several departments. Firstly, you have to understand the processes and functions carried out by each department. Screen all the functions and their importance, categorize them, and contact the departmental heads to gain a better understanding.

Understanding the Production Department

Your company may have a Production department, which is called software development. Programmers with various types of programming languages and skills work there. They produce software according to clients' needs, making production in software.

Role of the Marketing Team

Additionally, the Marketing team is responsible for searching for clients.

As an HR person, you need to know each function and process of the company to clearly understand the roles and responsibilities of each department and employee in the company.
