Notification of EPF Interest Rate for 2012-13
I am pleased to inform and communicate that the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, through its latest notification bearing no Invest. I/3(2)/133/ROI/2012-13 dated 15/05/2013, has declared the interest rate at 8.50% for the Employees Provident Fund Members’ Account for the year 2012-13.
Approval from the Ministry of Labour and Employment
The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, via its letter no R-11018/1/2013.SS-II dated 15/05/2013, has conveyed to CPFC the approval for crediting interest at 8.50% on EPF accumulations for the financial year 2012-13 to the account of each member of the EPF Scheme.
Interest Rate Increase
Hence, the interest rate has been increased by 0.25% compared to the previous rate of 8.25% for the financial year 2011-12. This communication aims to inform everyone about the latest interest rate on EPF accumulations. The copy of the EPF letter is attached herewith for your reference.
Please disregard this message if your Establishment is not covered under the provisions of the EPF and MP Act, 1952.
