Can You Access Union Membership Details Under the Trade Union Act? Here's How

Accessing Union Membership Particulars Under the Trade Union Act

Are there any legal provisions to know or obtain the union membership particulars under the Trade Union Act? I have heard that we can obtain this information from the DCL - Trade Union Registrar. Is there a possibility to access these particulars? If so, how can we obtain them?

The membership details of all registered unions will be available with the concerned Registrar of Trade Unions in the state concerned. One can approach him and get a copy of the same.

Normally, the Deputy Commissioner of Labour or another such officer of the state government holds the charge of Registrar of Trade Unions as well.
