Hi everyone, I have worked in a company where ₹780 was deducted from my salary every month as EPF. I worked with the company for a period of three months. Am I eligible to get my EPF? Guys, please help.

You are entitled to withdraw your PF—both the shares—even if you work for one month and leave. To get the withdrawal of the pension, you need to work for a minimum of six months.

Please note that if you are not in employment for two months and above, or if you are in employment where there is no PF, then only you are entitled to settle your PF account.

So, Korgaonkar sir, you mean to say that I won't be getting my EPF?

Whatever is mentioned above by Mr. Korgaonkar is absolutely correct, but your contribution to EPF along with the employer's contribution will get transferred to your new EPF account if you change employment where EPF is applicable. You are not going to lose the money. In case you work in an establishment that is not covered under EPF (very unlikely), after two months, you can apply for a refund of EPF withdrawal benefit. Please refer to the EPF and MP Act, 1952, for details.
