How Should I Handle a Shockingly Low Appraisal Despite Meeting All KPIs?

Performance Appraisal Concerns and Management Issues

Presently, I am working for Business Consulting Limited (Service Industry) and have been for the last 2.5 years as an "Associate Executive" at a client location. During my employment with the company, I have been performing all my roles and duties according to management instructions. I have been recognized and appreciated by co-coordinators, managers, the Board of Directors, and especially by clients, as my service directly impacts them.

However, yesterday I received my performance appraisal, and the amount was surprisingly low. The management evaluated my whole year's performance, dedication, and efforts in maintaining client assignments without any deviation or complaints. The appraisal was just Rs 238/-, whereas the previous year's appraisal was Rs 3000/-. When I asked my reporting manager about this, he did not respond properly. This year's appraisal has caused me significant discomfort, as my honest performance was evaluated in a very humble manner.

Major Issues with Management

There are several issues with management that affect employees, including:

• Delay in crediting monthly salaries.
• Lack of clarity on remitting employees' provident fund, ESI, and other compliances.
• Pending PF remittance for the last 5 months.
• No proper response from the HR department or management, as they often misguide employees for their own benefit.

All these issues have been discussed with management, and their only response is that they are facing financial problems, with no further solutions offered. The company provides services with great scope and a wider marketing area (Business Enabling Services, Audit Assurance, Internal Auditing, Compliance Auditing, Statutory Auditing, etc.). However, due to poor management, the company is losing its value, and employees have no further hope. If the company is facing a financial crisis, they should communicate honestly with employees or offer them the option to quit, rather than giving poor performance appraisals to well-performing employees, as this may affect their individual personalities.

Considering all the above issues, I am planning to resign from the company because we do not receive value for our sincere efforts and performance.

I request guidance on how to address this issue and proceed with my resignation.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks and Regards

Dear Sir/Madam,

With regards to the above subject, I am presently working for Business Consulting Limited (Service Industry) for the last 2.5 years as an "Associate Executive," working at a client place. During my employment with the company, I have been performing all my roles and duties according to management instructions. I have been recognized and appreciated by coordinators, managers, the board of directors, and especially by clients, as my service directly impacts them (since my workplace is at the client location).

However, yesterday I received my performance appraisal, and the amount is very low. I was surprised by the appraisal, as management evaluated my whole year's performance, dedication, and efforts in maintaining client assignments without any deviation or complaints. The appraisal is just Rs 238/- (whereas the previous year's appraisal was Rs 3000/-). When I asked my reporting manager, he did not respond properly. This year's appraisal has greatly disappointed me, as my honest performance was evaluated in a very humble manner...

Issues with Management

There are a lot of issues with management regarding employees' major concerns listed below:

• Delay in crediting monthly salary.
• No clarity on remitting employees' provident fund and ESI and other compliances.
• Pending PF remittance for the last 5 months.
• No proper response from the HR department or management; they always misguide employees for their selfish interests.

All the above and other issues have been discussed with management, and their only answer is that they are facing financial problems... No solution has been provided! The company provides services with a very good scope and a wider marketing area (Business Enabling Services, Audit Assurance, Internal Auditing, Compliance Auditing, Statutory Auditing, etc.). However, due to poor management, it is losing its value. Employees do not have any further hope in the company. If the company is facing a financial crisis, they can communicate honestly with employees or offer them the option to quit the job, rather than giving poor performance appraisals to well-performing employees, which may affect their individual personalities.

Considering all the above and other matters, I am going to resign from the company because, with this company, we will not get value for our sincere effort and performance.

Requesting you all to guide me on how I can resolve this issue and proceed with my resignation...

Thanks in advance...

Regards
