Transitioning from US Staffing to Domestic Recruiting

I am working as a recruiter (US staffing) for my current company for 6 years. I have worked mostly in US staffing (IT) and have good experience, but now I want to fully transition into domestic recruiting. This is where I am facing a problem. When I go for domestic HR recruiting interviews, they say, "We are looking for experienced domestic recruiters." Please advise if I can be considered for the domestic process.

Understanding Hidden HR Opportunities

One of my friends told me that HR positions are often filled without being advertised in the market. Please advise on how we can find out about openings for HR Recruiters in software companies. Also, let me know if anybody can refer me.

I cannot help you, but the answer is yes, you can shift from International to Domestic Recruitment. You can initially shift within the same company and then move to another company.

Thank you.

Try using your network or consider moving into international recruitment in a company that also conducts domestic recruitment. Later, you can transition into handling domestic recruitment within the same company. Hope this suggestion helps.

Recruitment is an art beyond boundaries. It doesn't matter what geographical location you are focusing on, but keeping up to date on the latest trends is very important.

I have many friends and team members who have transitioned from international to domestic recruitment. Simultaneously, I have witnessed others who prefer to retain their international recruiting experience as they perceive it to be more structured and offer better benefits.
