Facing PF Withdrawal Rejection: What Should I Do Next to Resolve This?

nishant_rk1
I had applied for PF withdrawal around 25th March 2013, filled up Form 19 only (as my work period with the firm was less than 6 months), and submitted it to the PF office. I would also like to mention that due to strained relations with the firm, I had the PF form signed by a Bank Manager for non-employment verification. The PF office accepted my form after reviewing it and provided me with a receipt. Shortly after, I received an SMS from the PF office confirming that the request was in process. However, a few days later, I received another message stating that my application had been rejected, and the rejection letter was being dispatched. As of today, I have not received the letter despite it being approximately 15 days since I received the SMS.

Seeking Advice on Next Steps

Members, please advise on what steps I should take next. If I decide to visit the PF office, will my request be considered in a typical government environment?

Thank you!

The PF office may reject the application due to the absence of additional documents that the employer needs to provide. Although you have submitted the PF withdrawal application signed by the Bank Manager, the application will be sent to your previous organization for more details.

The SMS should contain a reference number. You should visit the PF office, meet the PRO, and discuss this issue. Make sure you have all the necessary details on hand, such as the reference number mentioned above, PF account number, date of submission, etc. Also, please carry necessary stationery in case a written application needs to be filled out. Some PF offices may require a Revenue stamp as well, so keep them handy. You should receive a satisfactory response. In case they ask you to come on another day, be sure to show up.

Good Luck,

As discussed earlier regarding the PF withdrawal matter, I have now received a letter from the PF office stating that my application has been rejected. The reason cited is that the Form 19, signed by the bank manager, is not considered valid as the establishment is still operational.

Seeking Advice on PF Withdrawal Issue

Sree, could you please suggest a way forward as I am unable to visit my previous employer due to strained relations with the management? Is there a possibility of resolving this issue by approaching the PF office and providing them with my relieving documents or any alternative solution?

Thank you!
