Fake Experience. BGC Will Come To Haunt?

I am working in an IT firm for the past 2 years outside India. I have a total of 7 years of experience, out of which 2 years are fake experience.

I worked for a BPO for 2 years before my current job. During my background check in the BPO, I came out clean because I didn't bluff then.

But when I applied for my current job, I faked those 2 years. I showed that I was working for some IT firm instead of the BPO. I provided a fake offer letter and pay slip. Luckily, the background check done by my current company found my profile clean.

Now, I am planning to get a job in India. My concern is, will the MNC do a background check for my current company or a thorough check starting from the 1st to my current company? If that is the case, they might find out that those 2 years I put are from a fake company that does not exist. In that case, I am doomed. I am very worried and paranoid. Should I continue working in my present company and not think of switching jobs, or should I try risking it all? Probably the BPO I worked for has submitted some information about me to a third party for their database, so I already have a profile of which I am unaware. Is it possible?

Most applications have fake experience, which is somehow covered by the consultant during the interview. For this reason, they get stumped during background checks. Last time when you faked your resume, you were lucky... Not every time you are!

Prominent clients have even less time to intensively work on candidates' profiles; therefore, they hire third-party companies to check their applicants' employment history and report the findings. You are trapped.

Large BPOs and MNCs have a system that is integrated with NASSCOM. It has data for every bit of information provided by you to the company. It is difficult to switch from BPO to IT, so I had to fake it. I was working for a non-tech department in that BPO.

It's been 2 years and a few months.

Why do they check all the companies mentioned on a resume? Wouldn't a detailed check with the previous company suffice? In my current company, I have good conduct, worked on projects, and initiated new projects. I am a skilled individual; wouldn't that be sufficient?

One question: How does verification work for candidates who have worked outside India and are now appointed for a new job in India? I am based outside India.

If I do that, then I will have to show my BPO experience, which will mess up my current CV. Ah! This is all messed up. I was here for an interview, but now I think I should skip that. This company is a part of NASSCOM; I checked.

If I put valid experience (my BPO experience) instead of fake in my current CV and push it forward to the hiring company, what are the chances that they might find out that in my previous company I had worked for another company during those 2 years of BPO experience? Will they cross-check my updated CV with my old CV?

Many blue-chip firms audit their existing employee base from time to time. Why get a job with a fake profile when you would be caught no sooner?

I fail to understand why you are hesitant to clean up your CV and make it accurate now.

If I were to be your hiring manager, then I would view your CV in a more positive way for the simple reason that you worked in a BPO, enhanced your skills in parallel, got into the IT industry abroad, and now you want to come back to India.

Fudging documents is an unpardonable mistake - when you compromise on your own personal documents to gain something, what is the guarantee that you will not compromise with your company's sensitive information/data to gain something more? This is how employers will view you, even if you possess the desired skills.
